A Lovely Morning

I went out for a walk this morning. It certainly was nice out. Well nice in the sense of better then what is heading our way over the next few days.

Here's how David Streit from the Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang describes it:
My one and only hope is that this wave of heat and humidity is the summer’s last. As sweltering as it is today, it is only likely to get worse this weekend. A smattering of highs about 100 degrees Saturday look painfully possible. It is certain that high humidity will make it feel several degrees hotter than that. While an isolated thunderstorm is always possible late in the day, storm activity is likely to be the exception at least until Sunday when the weakest of cool fronts arrives.
I had thought of going to a Nats game on Saturday, it's Star Wars night, but it looks like it's going to be way to hot to do so.

Here's the Gang's forecast for Saturday:
Saturday looks to bring the most brutal combination of heat and humidity although, by this time, do a couple more degrees matter? Highs peak in the mid-to-upper 90s for most but hot spots have a chance of cracking 100. Clouds bubble up with such heat and high humidity and this makes isolated t’storms more likely later in the day and into the evening. Overnight lows range from mid-70s in the suburbs to around 80 downtown. Confidence: Medium-High
So I'll enjoy my morning walks for now.
