Gettysburg Museum

The museum is divided into sections that represent what happened on each of the three days of the battle. There's a film on each day. Then there are exhibits about the battle itself.

One of the most sobering exhibits is one that shows pictures of the men who fought and died in the battle.

I really enjoy old things, especially from America's history (such as it is).

I agree that it's sobering when you actually have faces and names to associate with the deaths in battle. Suddenly it's not ten thousand nameless troops dead, it's ten thousand people with ten thousand families and ten thousand different life experiences.

I'd love to visit DC some time.
